Yaymaker invites you to a paint nite event for ages 13 and above. Grab a bite to eat and your favorite drink and have a relaxes painting experience. No painting experience necessary! Just follow the step-by-step guidance to create your own version of the Nite's painting in about two hours.

If you're feeling creative, change the colors to suit your decor or go completely rouge. We provide all the painting supplies: a 16"x20" canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, smock, music, and a good time. It's not a painting class, it's a have fun class. Come out early to enjoy dinner before getting started, just let them know you're with Paint Nite.

Secure your seats before start time, especially if part of a large group that wants to sit together. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the venue and NOT included in the ticket price. Outside food and drink are not allowed - NO BYOB. Help keep your artist from becoming a starving one - tips are appreciated!

30/person. Part class, part party! We've teamed up with local mercantile Irons in the Fire to bring an entertaining yet educational experience to the Southern Illinois area. Join me in a relaxed girls night out style atmosphere as I guide you through the steps to create the beautiful cookie bouquet you see above. During this approximately 2 hour party you will learn:

-How to make the perfect sugar cookie (recipe included)
-Tips on how to keep your dough from spreading
-How to make frosting (recipe included)
-How to prepare piping bags
-How to hold an piping bag
-The importance of different frosting consistencies for different techniques
-How to use different shapes and sizes of decorating tips
-The basics of decorating cookies
-How to frost cookies using pastry bags
-Step by step guide to decorate 6 cookies that are yours to take home.

Everyone will have a great time while I teach you how to decorate cookies like a pro. This is a beginners decorating class only. No baking involved.

I'll bring everything we need. Pre-baked cookies, icing, step-by-step visual guide, cookie box, and all tools & supplies will be provided as well as cookies and drinks for refreshments. All you need is yourself and a friend!

Spots are limited. There will be 25 stations available. Tickets are non-refundable. Adults and kids welcome. No ticket necessary if you plan to share your box with a friend or child.

The Marion Chamber of Commerce presents the 35th annual Golf Scramble at Kokopelli Golf Club!

A four-person team is $360 (Individuals can sign up to be put on a team). Registration includes use of the range, green fees, golf cart rental, and a chance at great prizes and more! Lunch is sponsored by Clearwave Communications, menu includes burgers and brats, chips, cookies and a drink.

Registration will be held from 7:15am to 8:15am. Play will begin with a 8:30am shotgun start. The drawing for the Million Dollar Hole-in-One shot will take place at 8:25am. Southern Illinois Hunting & Fishing Days is back for its 30th anniversary from Saturday, September 28th 9am-5pm through Sunday, September 29th 9am-4pm.

The Outdoor Channels Dropzone TV Personalities Hal Shaffer and Ken Cobb will be featured this year, along with the History Channels "Forged in Fire" Champion Michael Kerley, NBC TV American Ninja Warrior contestants, and Williamson Counties Largest Ski Buck ever killed (BTR 253, 48 pts.)! Many other events will be taking place including a Huge RV Display, a 5000 gallon Bass Tub, Buckskinners Village, Spash-Jumping Dogs, Fishing Seminars, Helicopter Rides, Camo the Clown, Kids Fishing, BuckMaster Deer Scoring, Artists and Carvers, High School Bass Tournament, Wildlife on Wheels (live bears, cougar, wolf), Youth/Adult Duck and Goose Calling Contests, Dog Agility and other Demonstrations, Wildlife Program, an Art and Heritage show and much more!

Great live music, the smell of bratwursts and smoked pork chops will soon be filling the streets around Zion United Church of Christ for their 4th Annual Oktoberfest!
