DESCRIPTION:\n\nStarting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm CST, you may purchase tickets on our website at https://herrincitylibrary.org/ or in person at the library.\nTickets will be $10.00 each and will be available to purchase online on the Herrin City Library Website (herrincitylibrary.org) and in person at the Herrin City Library (120 N. 13th Street, Herrin, IL) starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm. You will be able to pay by credit or debit card online and credit card, debit card, check or cash at the library. We will share links on the Ghosts of Herrin (facebook.com/ghostsofherrin) and Herrin City Library Facebook (facebook.com/herrincitylibrary) pages. Please like, follow and share our Ghosts of Herrin Facebook page for more information.\nThe tour will be outside in the area of North 14th Street near the Coal Miners’ Memorial on:Friday, October 17, 2025, from 7:00 pm – 8:40 pm, andSaturday, October 18, 2025, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.\nHerrin City Library in collaboration with the Friends of the Herrin City Library and Herrin’s 125th Year Committee will present a walking tour featuring some of Herrin’s well known and not so well-known apparitions. The program is for ages 14 and up. Groups will visit various “ghosts” to hear stories of Herrin history. Ghosts include Pioneer Isaac Herring, Gangster Charlie Birger, Moonshiner Dolly York, Professional Baseball Player Ray Chapman and many more!\nYou may find a parking map on the Herrin City Library website.\nThe Herrin City Library makes every effort to ensure our programs can be enjoyed by all.
