The Southern Illinois Taco Festival, presented by PMR Automotive, is actively\nseeking restaurant caterers and event sponsors for its event, scheduled for Tuesday, April 21,\n2026, at The Pavilion in Marion.\nThe event is intentionally open to all interpretations of tacos, not just traditional Tex-Mex\ncuisine. Restaurants offering BBQ, seafood, traditional Mexican, vegetarian or vegan,\nfusion-style, or any other taco styles are all encouraged to participate.\n“This festival is about creativity and community,” said event organizer Nicole Miskelley. “We\nwant tacos that reflect the full range of food talent we have in Southern Illinois. If it fits in a\ntortilla, it belongs at this event.”\nRestaurants interested in being considered as caterers for the taco dinner portion of the event are\ninvited to complete a brief, no-obligation interest form. The form allows organizers to better\nunderstand menu offerings, service capacity, and overall interest. Sponsorship opportunities will include\nbrand exposure before and during the festival, on-site presence, and recognition across digital\nand promotional materials.\nA portion of the festival’s proceeds will benefit local charities, with supported organizations to\nbe announced at a later date.\nPublic ticket sales will be announced at a later date following finalization of caterers and\nsponsors\n
