Little Egypt Arts Association is a not for profit artist Co-op that was established in 1995 by approximately 20 local artists and art patrons. At first they didn't have a building until a very generous contribution of Mrs. Powell in 1999. Once a building was acquired they grew into a very dynamic teaching and showing facility in Southern Illinois for the visual arts. LEAA is an art organization dedicated to teaching, showing and promoting the arts.
Not only can you come take a tour of the hidden talent in Southern Illinois, you can take it home with you! Select pieces throughout the Little Egypt Arts Centre are for sale! Just ask the friendly volunteer that greets you for more information!
Want to learn or know an individual that would? We offer classes! Wether you are 5 or 85, we have classes that would suit your needs. Once again, just ask that friendly volunteer that greeted you for more information!
Do you use words rather that oil? That is art and we LOVE it! You need to ask that lovely volunteer about the Little Egypt Writers’ Society. We'd say you would fit right in.
