Spring Happenings – March 28th, 2019
Hey readers! Rachel here.
Hope everyone is ready for warmer weather; I know I am! So, what’s the latest buzz in Williamson County for Spring happenings? A few shops have been opening up around the county in the past few months, and we want you to check them out! There are also some events coming up we want to remind you about.
In downtown Marion on the square, Lavish Bath Box has a variety of homemade bath and body essentials, accessories, and gifts. They offer a subscription box that you can subscribe to as well as pick up in store. I hear that soon they will be able to do bath bomb birthday/bachelorette parties as well! Sign me up for that. For any questions you might have, you can reach out to email@example.com or head over to the square in Marion and pay her a visit! (The ribbon cutting ceremony is TODAY 3/28-check out the Facebook event link here for details!)
Another shop that now has a storefront location is Deliciously Ordinary! They have been doing business for quite some time now, and with a Pinterest worthy Instagram page, they create beautiful floral arrangements for weddings as well as many other occasions! They can assist you with florals, signage, design concepts……the list goes on. You can find them in downtown Carterville, but for any other questions regarding their services, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Most of the locals are probably aware of the recent location change of Fish Tales Pottery & Pets, now located at 1021 South Park Avenue (Route 148) but did you know that they offer birthday parties as well? You can also paint your own pottery in the shop, too! Talk about a multi-use facility. They have weekly events that can be found on their Facebook page, that range from kid to adult friendly. For any questions, feel free to send an email to email@example.com. For more details and location information, check out their listings on our website through the above links, and be sure to give their social media pages some love as well!
As far as Spring happenings, you can always refer to our handy dandy events calendar that can be found at the bottom of our home page, but here are a few I wanted to highlight.
This weekend, the annual Southern Illinois Spirituality & Psychic Festival is happening at Celebrations Event Center! Saturday and Sunday will be filled with workshops, massage, reiki, shopping, food & beverage, and fun! Admission is $3. The following weekend, April 6- 7, The Gem, Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry Show will take over the Pavilion with lots to see/do for the whole family. Admission is $2, children 18 and under are free.
Now for some music….
The Band Perry will be live at Midwest Event Center on Friday, April 12! Purchase tickets through Eventbrite. Another event taking place at the Pavilion on Thursday, April 25, is Chris Lane Live! He’s a country musician with hits like “Take Home Girl” I’m sure you’ve heard on the radio lately! Purchase tickets through Eventbrite. As I mentioned earlier, these are just a few events in the upcoming month that are happening; we add events to our calendar daily!
Have you looked through our website and found a tourist attraction we don’t yet have listed? Do you have an event happening in Williamson County you would like us to add to our calendar? Let us know! You can certainly reach out to our office at (618) 997-3690. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to assist us in representing our areas’ tourism related businesses and events!
Thanks for reading another one of my ramblings, and happy Spring!
