Highlights

Handicap Accessible

Cannon Park offers two new pieces of playground equipment: a swing set and “ten spin” were installed to help make the park inclusive for all children.

Skatepark

Bring your skateboard, rollerblades, BMX, or scooter to the Skatepark featuring a bank/wedge ramp, funbox, kicker/launch, grind box/ledge, manual pad, mini ramp, quarter pipe, and stairset obstacles.

Start! Walking Path

This trail is approximately 0.6 miles, asphalted, mostly flat, well-lit, and takes an average of 16 minutes to complete. Restrooms are available, runners and walkers are welcome; dogs must be on a leash while on the trail but can run their energy out at the Bark Park!

Tips for Cannon Park

Bark Park – Sponsored by the Carterville Area Rotary Club, this dog park allows off-leash pups to roam free in a safe, fenced-in environment.

Reservations – Contact City Hall to reserve ballfields and shelters with a minimal refundable deposit. Click here to reserve the Community Center.

Hours – Lamp posts light the way around the trail at night.
