About the Track

Southern Illinois Raceway (SIR) is a quick, high-banked 1/8-mile clay oval most often seeing lap times in the 9-11 second range. The track is completely wrapped with a high, well-supported catch fence atop a strong guardrail. It is known for becoming a slick surface from the infield tires all the way up to a fast cushion, right around the outside wall, creating the perfect conditions for lap-after-lap slide jobs and constant 3-wide battles. It has two useable entrances onto the track, located in turns 2 and 4.

Racing

Weekly racing include junior sprints, dwarfs, mod-lites, and four 600cc classes of restrictors, non-wing outlaw, winged outlaw, Sportsman 6pm driver's meeting/hot laps, 7pm racing.

Pricing

General Admission (bleachers and lawn chair space available) is $8, ages 7-12 years is $4, 6 and under are Free. Pit Pass $30, Driver Fee (includes pit pass) $35, Club Membership Fee $20.

Tips for SOIL Raceway

Amenities – SIR features a fully stocked concession stand and restrooms located near the Grandstands.

Saturday Nights – Watch Outlaw Micro Sprint, Junior Sprint Cars, Non-Winged Outlaw, and Restricted Micros race every Saturday night at 7pm.

Annual Events – Home of the HighBanks Hustle and the Terry Sprague Memorial.
