So Ill Roller Gremlins

Founded in June 2009, Southern Illinois Roller Girls (SIRG) was the first and only all-female flat-track roller derby league in Southern Illinois and a full member league of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) as of January 2012. In 2023, they went co-ed and are now brawling as the Southern Illinois Roller Gremlins!

Highlights

More Than a Team

Skaters consist of students, parents, nurses, lawyers, managers, guidance counselors, and photographers, and all walks of life. This tight knit group treat each other like family, help each other when possible, and put in outside hours working on conditioning and strength training.

Venue

The SIRG practice and bout at The Pavilion in Marion. The Pavilion offers ample parking, a polished concrete floor, water fountains, soda machines, and ATM in a climate-controlled environment. Their concession stand features a variety of snacks and hot foods. Spectators 21+ can enjoy an alcoholic beverage from the bar.
