Located on the northeast corner of Johnston City is Arrowhead Lake, a 35-acre reservoir surrounded by plenty of outdoor recreation and activities. Enjoy all that Arrowhead has to offer including a playground, baseball field, amphitheater, pavilion, nature trail, and campsites. Bring a picnic along and have an adventure!
This 2.14-mile loop with numerous slopes winds around Arrowhead Lake allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The trail takes approximately 45-55 minutes to complete, depending on pace. Benches are provided for resting along the path. Walkers, hikers, trail runners, and bikers are welcome. Pets are welcome, too and must be kept on a leash.
Arrowhead Lake includes a handicap accessible pier and paved boat ramp near the concrete dock. Canoes and electric motors are permitted on the lake.
Arrowhead offers 66 30/50-amp campsites, 4 pull-thru, 1 primitive cabin, handicap accessible sites, electric/water, wi-fi, General Store, dump station, laundry area, and bathhouse.
Wildlife – Along the walking path, catch a glimpse of wild turkeys, deer, raccoons, squirrels, ducks, geese, and many species of birds along with various wildflowers scattered throughout the area.
Fishing – Grab a fishing pole, bait, and relax along the 35-acre reservoir filled with largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, black and white crappie, and channel catfish!
Amenities – Restrooms are open year-round; water fountains are available during the summer months.
