Crab Orchard Greenway

A developing regional multi-use trail along the Route 13 corridor, designed to connect the communities of Carbondale, Carterville, Crainville, Herrin, and Marion. Once complete, it will offer scenic recreation and alternative transportation options, including access to Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, John A. Logan College campus, and other points of interest throughout Southern Illinois.

Plan Ahead – Some trail segments may still be under development- check local maps or community updates before heading out.

Pack Water & Sunscreen – With long stretches of open trail, come prepared for sun exposure and hydration.
