Marion Park District
Totaling 112 acres, the park district is comprised of 7 local parks, a dog park, a pickleball complex, a soccer complex, an aquatic center, and a disc golf course.
Highlights
Sports
From early spring through late fall, explore a variety of sports from adult and youth softball and baseball leagues to bags and pickleball. The district hosts many tournaments throughout the year such as the annual Whirlwind Soccer tournament and Marion Marlins Swim Meets.
Playgrounds
All Marion Parks feature playground equipment but the most impressive is the Inclusive Playground at Ray Fosse Park. This is truly a play space universally designed so ALL children and families can play together, with no physical or social barriers.
Pharaoh’s Way
Pharaoh’s Way Disc Golf is a professionally designed course built in 2016. This challenging recreational 18 hole Disc Golf course is located in Pyramid Park and winds through the whole area of the park. Concrete tee pads with permanent chain-link tees are placed throughout the course. Spring and summer disc golf leagues are available.
Tips for Marion Park District
Cabins – The park district has two cabins they rent out for parties or meetings. Both cabins are located adjacent to the offices located on Parish Avenue, beside Ashley Park.
Goofy Sno – Bring some cash for a sno cone at the Goofy Sno if you are at Ray Fosse Park.
Free Game – Win a free game of Goofy Golf when you get the ball in the target at the end of your round!
