Welcome to America Mural
Welcome to America was designed by then 13 year old Maddie Dieters from Marion Illinois. The building-sized mural pays tribute to the Italian immigrants that left their homeland in search of a better life and ended up working in the southern Illinois coal mines. Painted by Maddie Deiters and her parents, Hank and Deanna in 2021.
