Very Merry Marion Pageant

Rules And Information

1. There will be thirteen age divisions in the pageant that are listed above. Age divisions are subject to change and at the discretion of the pageant director, based on number of entries.

2. Contestants will compete in a casual outfit or semi dressy attire for the pageant modeling. Holiday or themed outfits, casual dresses, church dresses, cocktail dresses etc. for girls and holiday or themed outfits, dress pants and shirts, etc. for boys. No fancy pageant attire or formal, fancy pageant dresses. Contestants will be judged during the pageant in the areas of appearance, beauty, poise, and personality. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st runner up pageant winners in each age group. Trophies, crowns, and sashes will be awarded to the pageant winners in each age group.

3. There will be an optional photogenic competition for each age group. Trophies will be awarded to the photogenic winners in each age group.

4. Photogenic photos will be submitted online to the pageant director and will be uploaded to the Facebook event page and judged online. Photos can be professional, snap shot, black and white, or sepia. Photogenic awards will be given out during the age group awards ceremony.

5. The beauty pageant is the only mandatory entry ($35.00). Photogenic entry ($10.00) is optional entry.

6. All contestants will need to arrive to register and check in at 12:00 pm. There are restrooms available to change clothes if needed.

7. A photo of the contestant should also be submitted to the director for the purpose of online display on the event page when the entry fee is paid. This does not have to be the same photo as your photogenic entry photo.

8. Entry fees are listed on the entry form. Entry fees can be paid online with Venmo or Cash App. Entries will be accepted until November 5, 2023. No entries or late payments will be accepted after November 5, 2023. NO EXCEPTIONS!

9. Unsportsmanlike conduct and drama will not be tolerated. The pageant director has the authority to reject an entry due to this behavior.

10. This pageant will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm, at The Pavilion in Marion.

11. The winners of this pageant will be able to participate in the Very Merry Marion Christmas parade on Sunday, November 26th in downtown Marion and other Very Merry Marion holiday events.

12. There will be no refunds on entry fees unless this pageant is canceled. Pageant postponement, rescheduling, sickness, emergencies, etc. does not constitute a refund. Paid pageant entry fees can’t be transferred to another pageant. NO EXCEPTIONS!
