Centerstone’s Life;Story 5k for Suicide Prevention

Centerstone’s 4th Annual Life;Story 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention-Illinois is back!

Life;Story is an annual event dedicated to promoting community awareness, encouraging connection, and supporting those impacted by suicide, mental health challenges, and thoughts of suicide.  Held each September during Suicide Prevention Month, Life;Story takes place across Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee, with a virtual participation option available for those who wish to join from anywhere.

The name Life;Story includes a semicolon — a symbol representing that the story is not over. Unlike a period, which signifies an ending, a semicolon reminds us there is still more to come.  No matter how depression, anxiety, or suicide has touched your life, we want every participant to know there is more to your Life; there is more to your Story.
