Pomona Winery offers seven table wines and two fortified dessert wines. All of our wines have received multiple awards in regional, national, and international judging and they have a very comfortable atmosphere to enjoy them.

Pomona Winery has been making non-grape wines with the help of local growers since 1991. Flamm’s Orchards in Cobden, IL and Rendleman’s Orchards in Alto Pass, IL supply 20 tons of Jonathan and Golden Delicious apples every year. From those 20 tons, around 3,000 gallons of apple wine are made. The berries are also locally grown by Hall’s Berry Farm in Lick Creek, IL or Bill Bass Farms in Cobden, IL. Local fruit is used whenever possible and the winery is always open to new wines if the fruit is locally available.

Pomona Winery provides visitors with a unique tasting experience which emphasizes cooking and pairing wine with food. We are so excited to share recipes from our tasting presentation with you. Our hope is to get guests focused on the adventure of wine and see intoxication as a fringe benefit and not the end goal of the experience.
