Lantern Festival

Experience an evening of hope and light at The Mosaic Initiative’s Lantern Festival at Herrin Park District.

Gather around the pond for a beautiful water lantern release, along with live music, local food trucks, and family-friendly fun throughout the evening.  Guests who purchase a ticket will receive a water lantern kit to assemble and decorate before joining the community lantern launch after dark.

• Bring a picnic blanket, lawn chair, and grab something tasty from the food trucks
• Enjoy an evening in the park as hundreds of glowing lanterns light up the water
• Open to the public; a ticket is required to receive and participate with a water lantern kit
• Lantern release at 8pm

This event serves as a fundraiser for The Mosaic Initiative, a nonprofit organization working to combat sex trafficking and sexual exploitation locally and globally.
